Resident Judge Strengthens Justice Sector Collaboration with Courtesy Visits in Rukungiri

The Resident Judge of Rukungiri High Court, Lady Justice Susan Kanyange, today paid courtesy visits to the Rukungiri District Police Headquarters and the district leadership as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration among justice sector institutions.

At the Police Headquarters, the Resident Judge was received by the District Police Commander (DPC), SSP Ampire Brian. During the meeting, the DPC expressed appreciation for the Resident Judge’s initiative to engage with the police leadership, noting that the working relationship between the police and the Judiciary in Rukungiri remains positive and cooperative.

He observed that there have been no major security concerns reported in the district and emphasized that such engagements are important in reinforcing mutual understanding and improving service delivery within the justice sector.

Lady Justice Susan Kanyange commended the police for their continued support and cooperation with the courts. She appreciated the strong coordination and collegiality between the police and the Judiciary and thanked the police leadership for maintaining security in the district, noting that the partnership plays a vital role in facilitating the effective administration of justice.

The Resident Judge also paid a courtesy call to the Rukungiri District leadership, where she met Ms. Kagisha Kellen, the Assistant Resident District Commissioner(RDC). The meeting provided an opportunity to further strengthen working relations between the Judiciary and the district administration and to discuss issues of mutual interest aimed at promoting the rule of law and effective public service delivery in the district.
